Food Nutrition Facts

Real, sourced nutrition data for common foods — every number links back to the exact USDA entry it came from.

This is a small, hand-verified set — not an exhaustive database. Each entry is sourced from a specific USDA FoodData Central record, linked from its own page, rather than pulled from an automated import. See the methodology page for how the app's own calorie and macro targets are calculated.

Common questions

Where does this food nutrition data come from?
Every figure is copied directly from a specific USDA FoodData Central entry. Each food's page links to the exact record it came from, identified by its FDC ID, so the source is independently verifiable rather than just asserted.
Why are only a few foods listed?
This is a small, hand-verified set, not an automated import — each entry was individually looked up and checked. It is being grown deliberately, a real sourced entry at a time, rather than mass-generated.
Are these values the same as what I'll get from photographing a meal in the app?
No. These are fixed, published USDA reference values for a single named food. Photo and text logging in the app produces an AI-generated estimate for whatever you actually ate, which can vary with preparation and portion — see the methodology page for that distinction.
